Lessons from Ukraine Define the Future of Commercial Drone and Counter-Drone Innovations at Commercial UAV Expo 2025

ree

Over five million drones per year, dozens of R&D centers, hundreds of manufacturers and integrators — the Ukrainian market demonstrates how innovations can scale in real time. A full cycle — from design concepts to serial production and rapid implementation — is shaping a new model of industry development, where adaptability and technological depth become key competitive advantages. As a result, Ukrainian experience is transforming into a strategic resource that is already defining the trajectory of the global unmanned technology market’s evolution.

In this context, on September 4, the main stage of Commercial UAV Expo 2025 in Las Vegas will host the panel discussion “Lessons from Ukraine Define the Future of Commercial Drone and Counter-Drone Innovations,” organized by the Ukrainian Pavilion, which represents a united technological ecosystem of leading developers in unmanned systems, artificial intelligence, and robotics, led by DroneUA and Futurology.

  • September 4 | 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

  • Summit Stage | Caesars Forum | Las Vegas, USA

The discussion will feature speakers representing various sectors of the industry, ensuring a comprehensive dialogue — from international cooperation and investment to security practices and practical experience in scaling technologies:

  • Valerii Iakovenko (moderator), co-founder and managing partner, DroneUA, Futurology;

  • Dmytro Kushneruk, Consul General of Ukraine in San Francisco (ТBC);

  • Dmytro Shymkiv, Investor, AeroDrone;

  • Fevzi Ametov, Deputy Head of the Division of organization and application of UAVs. Aviation Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs;

  • Maksym Prasolov, CGO of Bavovna.

On the main stage of Caesars Forum in Las Vegas, Ukrainian experience will be presented as a key factor in the development of the global unmanned technology ecosystem. The focus will be on practices emerging in a market where implementation is measured in weeks and scaling takes place simultaneously across both commercial and security segments. The panel discussion will serve as a starting point for shaping a new paradigm in which UAV solutions evolve from being tools to becoming fundamental elements of the economy and security.
